We have a started a very rudimentary Business database at Perth Awake Business. It suffers from being user unfriendly due to the fact that to enter data, a spreadsheet must be downloaded, used to enter information, and then attached to an email to be added to the master file. You can see it at:

From what you’ve said, yours should be web based and much more sophisticated. This database is growing legs with the increased demand for consumers to find `awake’ businesses, and from businesses who are savvy enough to know that there’s growing market out there. Love to hear about your progress.
