The Reading Kit is a step by step, structured program that any parent, grandparent or carer can use to teach a child to read. This is a phonics based program which starts from the most basic sounds of the alphabet all the way through to the more complex combination of letters. And with this comes 29 decodable readers (short books with words composed of the letters and sounds students have just learned). The Reading Kit works on the premise that when you teach the sounds of the alphabet he/she can then decode a word and read. This is so important to achieve literacy! But warning, there is no screen time in this program – it’s a hands on activity requiring a little bit of patience and a lot of love.
