Opening society up is not the answer.
Acknowledging rights to freedom of movement, body autonomy, freedom of choice and maybe most importantly personal responsibility is the answer. And making government, police and militaries primary duty to protect those rights is the only answer.
If our rights to defend ourselves from enemies foreign and domestic were not taken away from us, the government and police wouldn’t be doing what they are doing now (and planning to do).
