I don’t know any other party who has the resources to achieve things like this. Clive has tried a few court cases already and will continue to try until something sticks. The pressure adds up, for sure!
Chairman of the United Australia Party, Clive Palmer, has vowed to fight the Victorian Government’s contentious pandemic legislation in the courts, blasting them as draconian and undemocratic.
Daniel Andrews’ controversial new laws will come into effect from December 16 after passing Victoria’s upper house today, a move which should be deeply concerning for all Australians who value liberty and freedom, Mr Palmer said.
The laws give the government a legal basis for lockdowns, mandatory mask-wearing, vaccine mandates, and curfews.
“These laws are unconstitutional and infringe the rights of all Australians. They are a major overaction and yet another sad reminder of the Andrews Government’s totalitarian approach,’’ Mr Palmer said.
“I would have no hesitation in mounting a court challenge to fight these laws. Discussions are already underway with my legal team,’’ Mr Palmer said.
Mr Palmer said only the United Australia Party was committed to protecting the values that have been built and developed in Australia since federation.
“We will be putting freedom over fear, liberty over lockdowns, and choice over compulsion,’’ he said.
“Our party will protect the constitution and the rule of law, which underpins our democratic society and protects the rights, freedoms and liberties of every Australian citizen,’’ he said.

If Clive, with all his money, is going to have a go at this the same way he did with his WA border attempts, then it will be all for show and nothing else. Here’s hoping he gets a proper, useful, effective legal team this time round.
I too am wondering about political posturing here……….. I was under the impression from the tv news report that he represented himself – at least with the WA lawsuit that he lost, the WA govt prevented him from selling a mine to China. I constantly ask myself, how is it that China is eligible to buy any infrastructure from us? Please tell me if I am mistaken — I really WANT to believe in him, but I have reservations.
Well, Danny boy was up to much worse with Belt and Roads……
it was to extend his mine i think, however, i dont trust them at all, Why did the UAP, Graig Kelly, vote against the Non discrimination bill from One Nation in paliment, Why did Graig Kelly vote against the bill to cap lawyers share of lawsuites to 30%, he says they take the risk so they should get most of the money awarded to the victims, so not only do they get paid for their work then they take the money awarded to the victims, scum bags, lawyers become polititions, trust none of them to work for you the people
Again the laywers will only work for those with the money to pay, we, the normal strugglers, cant afford justice. The time for talk is over, if you want to go the christian way, even God gave his angles weapons to fight evil.

So what’s in it for you Clive? I don’t trust your motives.
Hi,
Well my opinion is that what Clive Palmer is mostly interested in is making more money for Clive Palmer.
BUT … if we are going to seriously get some of our basic rights back, (and hopefully entrenched), then we’re going to have to make some compromises and focus on what we have in common rather than the differences.
That’s my two cents anyway. 🙂
I’m not looking for a party that I totally agree with but there’s got to be a level of trust, I’m not sure what Clive’s motives are aside from money.
If Palmer was serious he would have done it a long time ago. Did Craig Kelly really vote against the Non discrimination bill from One Nation in parliament (ie the no vaccine mandates?)
