Angie lives and works in North Central Victoria. Her studio is nestled in the garden of her home in the main street of Rushworth; a small historic gold mining town on the edge of the Rushworth-Heathcote State Forest. Angie is reopening her studio to the public in December 2021.
Her professional practice as a studio artist spans forty years of making, exhibiting & sharing her practice. She is perhaps best known for her quirky spotted fowl series and bird Women, many of which can be found in private homes, gardens and businesses. Angie’s larger site specific ceramic sculptures and murals can be found installed in public places in Central Victoria including regional school campuses.
All of Angie’s works are lovingly hand-crafted and painted. Inspiration comes from my environment and a particular love for birds. All pieces are created using high fired stoneware or porcelain clay and I aim to share a delight in the colors, shapes, patterns, the character of the natural world and creatures with whom we share it.
Angie makes a range of bespoke domestic ware from porcelain and high fired stoneware clay, She works in series’ that respond to her environment. Each piece is essentially ‘one off’ handcrafted artwork either made on the wheel then altered with the addition of sculptural elements and hand painted with engobe or glaze. Her works are constantly evolving and refreshing.
Angie’s work can be purchased at her studio (open by appointment, online or through gallery shops. Angie welcomes commissions and also wholesale enquiries.
