SCRUTINEER at the VIC election

We need as many people in those rooms as possible. If you have time on Saturday evening and Sunday, please do this.

If you’re concerned about the legitimacy of the counting process, the best thing you can do is be there to see for yourself.

NOTE – in the Federal election, we provided you with a pre-filled scrutineer form, but the VEC rules are different. The candidate has to write in the BOOTH that you will be at. You are not allowed to write it in yourself.

Instructions;

1. Print out the attached PDF below.
2. Get a candidate to sign it and write in which booth you will be at.
3. DO NOT SIGN IT YOURSELF YET.
4. On election day (26th NOV), go to the booth by 5:30 pm. YOU MUST SIGN YOUR PART IN THE PRESENCE OF AN ELECTION MANAGER.
5. Before 6 pm, there will be a briefing to explain everything.
6. TIP – don’t watch the pile of the party you support; watch the other piles to ensure they don’t get votes added to their pile that shouldn’t be there.
